Location opening in Boom, Belgium

PERI, a manufacturer and supplier of formwork, scaffolding, and engineering services, officially inaugurated its new site in Boom near the city of Antwerp. In keeping with PERI’s motto ‘Shaping the Future. The discovery’, customers, industry associations, regional politicians, journalists and many other interested people explored the company’s range of services and products, its know-how and its new headquarters in Belgium.

Jeroen Baert (mayor of Boom) and Ludwig Caluwé (delegate of the province of Antwerp), together with PERI’s national and international management, officially inaugurated the new site and modern building. In his speech, the delegate highlighted the importance of such investments for the region: ‘I am very pleased to see that the group’s Belgian subsidiary is consistently focused on innovation and has chosen Boom for their new site, which shows that this region – and, by extension, the province of Antwerp – remains a preferred industrial location within Europe, and continues to attract innovative companies like PERI.’

‘Given the development of PERI Belgium, our premises in Londerzeel were too limited’, Managing Director Reiner Schwarz of PERI Belux explained. ‘Since there were no expansion opportunities at that site, we decided to open up a completely new location in Boom. With its 30 000 m², the new site offers sufficient space, and – at only a stone’s throw from the A12 and the Antwerp ring road – it is strategically well situated from a logistics perspective. Moving the subsidiary means reinforcing our ambition to become the Belgian building industry’s top player in formwork, scaffolding technology, and engineering services. I am eager to further promote our business activity here in Boom.’ Next to the new location, the team has been reinforced to have sufficient capacity in engineering, logistics, sales and marketing to cope with the growing business.

Managing Director of Marketing and Sales of the PERI Group Alexander Schwörer also stressed the importance of moving to a different site for the Belgian team. ‘PERI is a pioneer in the construction industry, and innovation is of utmost priority for us. Our Belgian team does everything in its power to embody this positioning. The present investment is the guarantee that they will be able to do so for a long time. There can be no doubt: PERI Belgium is well prepared to meet future challenges.’
