Millennium Mission Valley Apartments Parking Structure

Project data

Location: San Diego, CA, United States

Providing internal parking was a key element in the creation of a pedestrian-oriented atmosphere for this high-density mixed-use apartment project in the center of San Diego. In addition to the parking structure, the 5.37-acre complex includes nearly 300 apartments, 14 shopkeeper units, and a 4,000 ft2 public plaza.

Requirements

The contractor used 38,000 ft2 of PERI’s SKYDECK drophead shoring system as well as three levels of PEP Ergo shoring to construct the six-level post-tensioned parking structure in just five months while also providing the required as-cast ceiling finish resembling traditional plywood. Fast, clean, and simple, the SKYDECK system requires a smaller crew to erect and strip compared to other systems. In addition, PERI UP Flex Stair towers were used to provide access to the six-story structure throughout the duration of the project.

I’ve been in concrete for 21 years and the PERI SKYDECK System is the best panel system out there. I highly recommend it. It’s fast and simple to put up and take down and leaves a clean and pretty product.
