605 West 42nd Street, New York City, NY

Project data

Location: New York, United States

For the construction of this first-class 60 story rental high-rise building on the corner of 42nd Street and 11th Avenue, PERI provided MULTIFLEX girder slab formwork system in conjunction with MULTIPROP high load bearing, lightweight aluminum posts.

The highly flexible system was utilized New York Style, where instead of laying secondary girders across the primary GT 24 girders, lumber is used to save more weight, thus facilitating tight New York City construction conditions. Once completed at the end of 2015, the building will have over 1,100 rental apartments, as well as retail space and a parking garage. It will stand 656 ft tall and is the largest development project in Manhattan since Battery Park City, with cultural, professional, and transportation amenities within walking distance at Times Square.
