500 West Trade, Charlotte, NC

Project data

Location: Charlotte, NC, United States

A 14-story residential tower is being erect in downtown Charlotte at 500 West Trade, will redefine the city skyline, and deliver the ultimate living experience with a rooftop pool, fitness center, theatre room, indoor pet play space, and game room. The 14,000 square-foot tower is surrounded by a 3-story, 80,000 square foot podium garage.

Lithko selected over 14,000 square feet of PD 5 frame system for the first elevated deck due to the tall clear height and lack of slab on grade. With tight laydown areas on the project, the lightweight system allows for easy vertical tower erection with faster and safer production.

Levels 3 through 14 are formed using SKYTABLE and UNIPORTAL, taking advantage of the system’s simple stripping and repositioning capabilities to meet the project’s aggressive schedule.

Requirements

  • A lack of slab on grade and tight laydown areas required flexible solutions
