399 Fremont, San Francisco, CA

Project data

Location: San Francisco, United States

For the construction of the 41 story, 400’ tall residential skyscraper in the Rincon Hill neighborhood of San Francisco, 399 Fremont, which will contain 447 residential units, PERI provided 36 panels of the self-climbing perimeter protection system RCS P. One of the key advantages of the system, featuring 2 material landing platforms, are the adjustable slab shoes, which allow the plywood screens to easily pass by the slab shoring which is cantilevering about 10” to 12” during climbing operations.

Requirements

  • Typical slab height of the building is 9’-8”.
  • The 12’ wide elements were delivered pre-assembled to allow fast installation on the jobsite, thus accommodating the 3 day cycle times Webcor is achieving.
