Hanahan Water Treatment Plant, Hanahan, SC

Project data

Location: Hanahan, SC, United States

The 100 year old Hanahan Water Treatment Plant is undergoing some major modernizations to ensure continuous clean drinking water to the local 400,000 area residents of Charleston, SC and further expand the capacity to treat over 100 million gallons of water per day.

PERI has provided formwork and shoring solutions to the concrete contractor Donley’s for the construction of the Sedimentation Basins 9& 11 and the Settled Water Effluent Flume.

The project consists of 37,000 SF 2.5’ thick mat foundations, 10,500 SF of framed slabs and 2,400 LF of 20’ tall walls.

The contractor chose TRIO wall formwork system to form the tall walls of the basins and achieve a neat concrete finish. QUATTRO was used to form the concrete columns and PERI UP Flex shoring towers with MULTIFLEX made quick work of the slab formwork requirements, while allowing ample work space underneath.
