The Project
Impressions from the project process
The two 34-story residential towers at in downtown Los Angeles will provide 648 high-end residential condominiums and more than 50,000 ft2 of ground level retail space in an eight-level podium.
PERI LPS Lightweight Climbing Enclosure was added on the east side of the building as protection for patrons of the Metrolink station below.
The decks were formed using the PERI GRIDFLEX grid panel formwork system. The lightweight slab formwork system goes up very quickly and plywood is nailed directly into the aluminum panels.
The perimeter shoring was achieved using PERI UNIPORTAL tables. The tables are ideal for large cantilevers and oddly shaped building perimeters. The legs hinge up to accomodate stripping and moving.
The integrated hinged filler panels on PERI swivel table forms minimize loose table infill requirements, helping the deck shoring crew achieve faster turnaround on deck cycling.
LPS climbing perimeter protection mesh panels can be telescopically arranged and easily adjusted to suit the building geometry.

Project Information
Working with the PERI Engineering Team, Largo Concrete Inc. was able to create a ‘project-specific’ solution to hand-set formwork on the perimeter edge of 1200 South Figueroa towers utilizing the PERI LPS Screen as an alternate method of protecting the perimeter areas of the typical tower floors.
