PERI’s Integrated Scaffold Program (ISP) was a key factor in selecting PERI UP Rosett Flex Industrial Scaffolding to provide temporary support and access for this $5 billion EPC expansion project. The inherent safety and labor savings achieved with PERI UP Scaffolding was also a major benefit. The project centers on an immense new ethane cracker that will be able to produce 1.5 million metric tons per year when completed in 2017. Scaffolding and temporary support were necessary for its erection and assembly and for installing the numerous controls and feed lines. PERI UP Scaffolding is adaptable, provides safe working conditions, can be assembled and disassembled quickly, and has high load-bearing capacity. 

The PERI ISP encompasses the 5D PERI Path software program that includes estimating, managing, tracking, design, and forecasting. The program continuously monitors the utilization of scaffolding equipment, keeping track of the hundreds of scaffolds and nearly 750,000 scaffolding components being used on this project. It also monitors crew activity related to the scaffolding. By creating full transparency PERI’s Integrated Scaffold Program increases predictability, reduces labor and inventory costs and helps EPC’s manage their scaffolding needs more efficiently. Also on this project PERI developed an innovative way to provide temporary support during control system installation by using PERI GT 24 Formwork Girders. Offered in 18 standard lengths, their high load bearing capacity and rigidity were just right for this application. This move saved aproximately $ 10 million compared to the cost of more traditional solutions.
