Newton Wellesley Hospital Project
The first PERI SKYDECK job in the US
The parking garage addition at the Newton Wellesley Hospital, located just west of Boston MA, involved adding three additional levels to an existing parking garage.
Because the hospital could not shut down during this project, PERI and S&F Concrete were required to coordinate the delivery of 15 trailer loads of equipment without interruption to hospital business.
The SKYDECK drophead system allows the contractor to strip the deck once it has reached 75% strength. S & F soon realized that using this system would maximize their performance.
The 80,000 sqft addition was completed in three months utilizing 30,000 sqft of PERI SKYDECK panels and 90,000 sqft of MULTIPROP 250''s.
Each floor was divided into six pours of approximately 4,500 sqft and was usually stripped in a three day cycle. S&F''s three man crew could strip, move, and reset a pour in an 8 hour day.
