KG Climbing Bracket Offers Safety and Ideal Working
Conditions for Architectural Concrete Work
One of the challenges faced in constructing the 20 storey Westgate Condominium Tower was the exposed architectural exterior walls. In order to produce the level of finish required for this building, Elite Formwork Inc. used the KG Climbing Bracket along with an extension for the finishing platform. Using this system allowed the contractor to perform the required finish work after the pour had been completed and the form jumped to the next lift.
Another critical aspect of the job was the ability to pour all vertical work within a 12 hour window. To achieve this, the client also used the TRIO wall formwork system.
Combining the SKYDECK slab formwork system and the UNIPORTAL table system, Elite was able to achieve the level of production required for the 8,700 ft² (800 m²) footprint.
Another system used on this building, was the TRIO Shaft Element for the core. This helped keep the vertical work on schedule.
