Excellent Production Rate Achieved Using Pre-assembled MULTIPROP Tables
The first phase of the Enterprise Bridge project was to construct over 1,800 ft (550 m) of architectural battered retaining walls. With walls ranging in height from 6 ft (1.80 m) to over 26 ft (8.00 m) a flexible wall formwork system was needed. To solve this request, PERI supplied the TRIO modular wall formwork system. By simply screwing the 4 inch (100 mm) liner to the back of the panel an architectural „stonelike“ finish was achieved.
The next phase of this project consisted of a 5 ft (1.50 m) thick solid concrete deck. PERI supplied pre-assembled tables using wooden GT 24 girders and SRZ steel walers placed on top of MULTIPROP towers. The advantage of the system was seen in using the MULTIPROP towers. They were assembled on the ground and then simply raised into place. The pre-assembled tables were then placed on top of the erected towers. Aecon Civil was able to achieve a high level of production using this method of construction.
