Pre-Assembled Beam Formwork
Helps Achieve High Level of Production

The University of Texas at San Antonio has several construction projects in progress at the moment of which a two level, 630 car, student parking structure is currently being built by U.S. Structural Concrete Inc. of San Antonio. This structure consists of approximately 100,000 ft² (9,290 m²) of slab work and approximately 33,000 ft² (3,065 m²) of beam work per level.

The difficulty of this project was seen in the tight scheduling for completion.

With formwork equipment only expected on site for mid May, the concrete work needed to be completed by end of July, leaving only two and a half months to finish the concrete work.

In order to solve this problem, PERI delivered a pre-assembled beam formwork system allowing the client to achieve immediate levels of high production with an architectural finish. Using rentable components, PERI was able to design an integrated beam system along with the MULTIFLEX slab formwork system.
