Montmorency Subway Station, Laval, Quebec
SB Frames and TRIO System Allow for 18 ft High Pours without Ties
Montmorency was one of three subway stations to be built as part of a landmark project to connect Montreal and Laval islands by a subway tunneled under the St. Lawrence River.
The project demanded architectural finishes with a specific joint and tie pattern and a tight schedule requiring high pours at a fast pace, without drilling ties into the rock the conventional way.
PERI offered the TRIO wall formwork system - with SB Frames for the bottom one-sided walls - and the MULTIPROP system for supporting the beams at a height of 37 ft (12.00 m).

“Using the TRIO system allowed us to cast large walls in one shot. The flexibility of the system helped us meet our scheduled deadlines.“
