32 Ft Battered Walls Formed using Modular TRIO Wall Formwork System
The Walnut Creek Dam project in Austin, Texas called for a solution that could easily form a 32 ft (9.80 m) battered wall. The solution needed to be flexible to also form the various structures associated with this dam project.
For this project, PERI offered the TRIO modular wall formwork system. Using only one type of connection device, called the BFD, multiple configurations of various panel sizes could be easily connected together. A liner was also attached to specific areas of construction where an architectural finish was required. The steel frame and plywood face of the TRIO panel made it easy to attach the supplied formwork liner.
