Prefabricated units to reduce the building program

A new 36.70 m long road bridge was built to carry the new N4 road over the river Tommarpsan. Steel I-beams crossing the river supported the PERI UP shoring system used to concrete the bridge deck.

PERI designed and planned this PERI UP shoring system to demonstrate the flexibility of the scaffold.

The units were prefabricated on the river bank to avoid erecting the scaffold over water.

The rigidity of the PERI UP Rosett ledger connection enabled the prefabricated sections to be craned into position on the steel beams without distortion.
Prefabricating the Rosett units brought three benefits to the site:

While preparing and fixing the steelwork, the PERI UP was being assembled.
Erecting the PERI UP on dry flat land was quicker and safer.
Several teams of workers were kept fully employed.
