Hotel Poznan, Poznan, Poland
Built on climbing brackets
Facade scaffold to overcome poor substructure
For the renovation and insulation of the 51.00 m high hotel complex the erection of the facade scaffold was not possible off the low level roofs.
As a suspended scaffold was not possible the PERI engineers decided to use a series of PERI climbing brackets KG 180 and CB 160. These were cantilevered from the building facade and anchored back to the floor slabs to support the external scaffold. It was necessary to introduce two levels of brackets as the fabric of the building was not capable of withstanding the imposed loads.
