Bridge over the river Havel, Berlin, Germany
Temporary prop and working platform for assembling the steel arches
For the new 74 m long Havel bridge each of the steel arches were delivered in three sections. The steel workers required a temporary prop and local working platform to support and join the separate steel sections of the arches.
The PERI design incorporated two shoring towers linked with beams to allow 6.00 m wide clear access on the bridge deck. Working platforms were cantilevered from the shoring towers.
