TRIO Panel Formwork: Versatile, Quickly Assembled and Movable in Large Units
The city of Atlanta, in the state of Georgia, continues to invest large sums of money in modern facilities and infrastructure for its waste water system. Part of this programme is the construction of a new sewage treatment plant. Apart from water filtration equipment, an ozone enrichment installation, and a pump station, there are a total of nine building elements with varying structural designs. The contractors used 3,400 m² of TRIO panel formwork to carry out the numerous formwork requirements. Due to the short set-up time involved, the easy-to-use BFD alignment coupler proved to be a big advantage when adjusting the formwork elements during all the work cycles. In addition, moving the formwork elements in large units – for wall heights of over 9 m – reduced the amount of crane time and lowered costs.
The versatile and efficient TRIO system allowed construction crews to be able to significantly maintain the tight time schedule.
