Special formwork without ties and with GRV walings
Excellently planned and precisely tied

To use wind power is seen as an ecologically sensible way of extracting energy. An offshore plant was constructed for this purpose in the sea, two kilometres away from Copenhagen harbour at a depth of 4 –5 m, which will produce 85 million kWh of electricity per year from 20 wind turbines.
Gravitation foundations had to be constructed for the towers of up to 64 m in height, on which rotors of 76 m in diameter will operate.Constructed in hybrid manner (steel and concrete) the egg-cup shaped sockets on cylindrical bases will later have a ballast effect.

PERI supplied two formwork sets with 11 segments for the uniform dimensions of the ice reinforcement caps (foundation caps)and different shaft units. These could be adjusted to the different shaft heights through simply extending or reducing the units. The whole shell, that exactly reproduced the required concrete shape, was retained in a closed formwork ring with GRV articulated walings. The highest concreting speeds are therefore possible without any ties.
