PERI UP T 70 frame elements were used on the abutments which provided the maximum safety during assembly and dismantling. This new type of frame construction (T-form) guarantees the necessary protection without the need of additional parts or assembly measures. This ensures that the scaffolding crews are safeguarded against falling at all times. |

PERI UP Rosett with its high ledger rigidity was chosen for the arches whereby the scaffolding was suspended along the viaduct column area. Here, the distance between the piers which support the columns was 18 metres in length. |
 |
The basic concept was that the piers were to be “wrapped” with suspended scaffolding up to the middle of each span. For other scaffolding systems on the market this would not have been possible. This was an important factor in PERI being awarded the contract. |
 |
Thanks to the high node rigidity of the PERI UP Rosett, the scaffolding could be erected to the geometric form of the construction. All of this could be achieved without interrupting the flow of traffic on the roads below. |

The scaffolding system for the main arch of the viaduct proved to be the most demanding problem for the designers. At this position, the six-lane highway is crossed with a span of more than 25 metres. Likewise, using PERI UP Rosett and exploiting all the system´s advantages for an extremely favourable load distribution, the PERI specialists succeeded in adapting the suspended scaffolding to the arch geometry. At the same time, over 90% of the materials required were available from the standard PERI scaffolding product line. |

PERI has supplied the contractor with a custom-made scaffolding solution which provides optimal and safe working conditions during the renovation of this important structure. The logistics organisation regarding scaffolding availability was also a key factor in the success of this project. The plan ensuring optimal utilization of equipment on site allowed the contractor to meet the intended schedule. |
