PERI RUNDFLEX – the versatile Formwork System for curved Walls meets Schedule and Budget
The Fish Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant Project of Akron Ohio encompassed 120,000 sqft (11,150 m²) of cast in place concrete walls. Kenmore Construction Co. took advantage of PERI´s TRIO and RUNDFLEX wall formwork systems for the construction of Final Clarifiers, Equalization Basin, Oxidation Ditch and a Digester.
The flexibility of the PERI systems proved to be a perfect fit for the variation of wall heights -12' to 27'- (3.65 to 8.25 m) and thicknesses -8" to 24"- (20 to 60 cm) for both straight and curved walls.
PERI developed detailed shop drawings for the entire job including elevation drawings showing all views, not just standard or special conditions. These were essential for the day to day planning of production and crew assignments. This solution greatly reduced the time required to explain the use and placement of PERI equipment. Kenmore Construction Co. needed a system that had the versatility required and enabled to meet schedule and budget.
