PERI TRIO and KGF 240 Brackets: The fast Climbing Formwork System for Safety at any Height
The new 12 story detention center, located in downtown Philadelphia will provide 750 beds for short term holdings.
The reinforced concrete structure will have three floors below grade in addition to the 12 floors above for a total area of around 400,000 sqft (37,160 m²). Each of the above grade floors includes six exterior shear-walls and one large core.
Madison Construction chose the TRIO wall form system for the shearwalls and core. On the exterior side of the building the formwork was combined with and supported by, KGF climbing platforms which allow 2‘-6‘‘ (75 cm) horizontal formwork retraction.
