PERI RUNDFLEX - unlimited adaptability
and faster forming of round structures

Three new clarifiers, an oxidation ditch and a sludge pumping station are under construction as part of a $ 6,500,000 project to up-grade an existing sewage treatment plant in the Chicago suburb of Hanover Park.
Forming began with the clarifiers in December of 1995. Three identical tanks with 16' (4.90 m) high walls, and a 32' - 6" (9.85 m) radius were cast in 5 pours per tank.

Approximately 1,400 sqft (130 sqm) of the PERI RUNDFLEX Gang Forming System were used to make a pour every day with a five man crew in the middle of winter. Standard rental forms were shipped to the site in 8' (2.40 m) wide by 16' (4.90 m) high modules. The forms were then quickly ratcheted to the proper radius. The oxidation ditch consisted of 648 lineal feet (197.50 m) of 16' (4.90 m) high straight wall, and over 800 lineal feet (243.80 m) of 16' (4.90 m) high radius wall. The same RUNDFLEX forms used on the clarifiers were used to handle the 23' 0" (7.00 m), 42'- 4"(12.90 m) and 61' 8" (18.80 m) radii of the oxidation ditch.
