The Riverfront Venue in Cincinnati, Ohio
Advantages in both versatility and concrete finish with PERI RUNDFLEX
To form the Concession Stand walls, 12'' high x 8'' wide (3.66 x 2.44 m) RUNDFLEX gangs were shipped to the jobsite, where the 8'' high x 8'' wide (2.44 x 2.44 m) gangs, from the retaining walls, were then attached on top creating a form 20'' (6.1 m) tall. The same principal applied when forming the 12'' (3.6 m) diameter x 20'' (6.1 m) tall stacks, with the exception that 2.5'' (0.76 m) wide RUNDFLEX gangs were used in lieu of the 8'' (2.44 m) wide forms.
On the banks of the Ohio River, the city of Cincinnati is currently constructing a River Front Venue. The project includes two concession stands having walls with an inside diameter of 48''- 2" (14.69 m), while standing 19''- 5" (5.92 m) tall. Next to the Concession Stand area, there are two Retaining Walls with radii of 41''- 4" (12.6 m) and 37''- 0" (11.28 m) respectively. After pouring a deck utilizing PERI`s MULTIFLEX shoring system, an additional 12''- 0" (3.6 m) diameter stack was formed.
Initially, enough 8'' (2.44 m) high x 8'' (2.44 m) wide adjustable RUNDFLEX circular gang forms were supplied to form one of the retaining walls. These same forms were then easily adjusted and reused on the remaining retaining wall.
