Prefabricated sectioned footbridge
constructed with PERI UP Rosett and craned into position
Where constructing foot bridges over railway lines the closure time must be minimized. The PERI engineers in Barcelona aware of this limitation decided on a prefabricated section which could be craned into position.
The solution was to construct a bridge with three spans, two by 12.00 m and one by 14.00 m length in PERI UP Rosett.
Statically the best solution was to create three simply supported spans. This enabled the three separate sections to be prefabricated alongside the line, during normal working hours, and then quickly craned into position at night.
