The Residences at the Ritz-Carlton, Toronto, Ontario
Unique RCS P System Designed with Fold-Out Panel for Quick Cycling of Slab Tables
The Residences at the Ritz-Carlton is a 53 story condominium and hotel project located in the heart of downtown
Toronto.
SKYDECK is used for the formation of the slabs for the five levels of underground parking. For the construction of the slabs of the upper floors, the quick and easy SKYTABLEs allow for a fast cycle. The typical slab tables range between 15’ x 7’-10” (4.60 m x 2.40 m) and 42.6’ x 11’-6” (13 m x 3.50 m) and each lifted to the next construction level in only 12 minutes and is usedto form the 13,186 ft² (1.125 m²) floor plate in a week. The complete perimeter of the building is surrounded with RCS P safety panels which have been designed to fold open in order for the SKYTABLEs to be moved to the next construction level while keeping workers and job site protected.
TRIO wall formwork is the best solution for the major core changes that occur between the hotel and condominium floors since the panels can be re-configured with ease.
