Pont Falloon, Lachute, Quebec

Combination of VARIO and MULTIFLEX Used
to Achieve Fast Monolithical Pours

The 55’- 8” (17 m) long and 49’ (15 m) wide Pont Falloon Bridge situated on Highway 50 near Lachute, is part of the Riviere Rouge bridge expansion, and is constructed
in only three months using a combination of VARIO for the 23.6” (60 cm) to 41.3” (105 cm) thick walls, and MULTIFLEX for the slabs that range between 20.6” (52.5 cm) and 41.3” (105 cm).

Both, walls and slabs are poured monolithically to cover the galvanized steel to appease the new Canadian law avoiding rust in the reinforcement.

    Field Engineer

“Since we were pleased with the outcome using the PERI systems in the past, we decided to use the costeffective MULTIFLEX and VARIO systems again for the fast and easy construction of this project.”
