Versatility of PERI RUNDFLEX makes a difficult Project easier Finished in the fall of 2002, the new Convocation Center, a 211,000 sqft (19,602 m²) and 10,000 seat multipurpose facility, will ultimately house athletic events, concerts, job fairs and other happenings. Turner Construction selected Concrete Structures of the Midwest as their concrete subcontractor for this rather difficult project, designed by Epstein Architects. 1,000 linear feet (304.80 m) of perimeter ring beam had to be formed, which was 3''10" (1.17 m) high and had a thickness of 4'' (1.22 m). Concrete Structures selected PERI´s solution for this project. It consisted of 80'' (24.38 m) long RUNDFLEX cycles that were supported by 14'' (4.28 m) tall MULTIFLEX shoring with a cycle length of 240'' (73.15 m). In addition, PERI supplied the SRS Round Column System for the columns on this project.
