New RCS Formwork Lift Frees Up Crane Time
Project One Month Ahead of Schedule
Ashton South End in Charlotte, NC is one of the first projects in the USA to use PERI's new RCS Formwork Lift (RCS L). Wayne Brothers' tight schedule to complete this eleven story condominium project with 45,000 ft² (4,181 m²) typical floors in only ten months was a deciding factor to incorporate two lifts to free up crane time.
The RCS Formwork Lifts are used to transport shoring and other building material to the next level with an high-speed electric winch with a and trolley mounted on the top of the outrigger platform has a two ton lifting capacity. The entire assembly is self-climbed to the next floor on climbing rails that are always attached to the building using a portable RCS hydraulic pump.
PERI also supplied the full scope of formwork required for this project including TRIO wall formwork for the core and shear walls, VARIO QUATTRO column formwork, SKYDECK and UNIPORTAL shoring for the slabs and MULTIPROP reshores.
