Kinzie Station Tower, Chicago, Illinois
Low Construction Costs
Due to the Efficiency of ACS
This 39 story luxury apartment building in Chicago began construction in January 2007. PERI supplied custom steel formwork, which included the window openings and reveals, to construct the cast-in-place architectural concrete facade. The core wall and exterior facade formwork were raised by Automatic Climbing System (ACS) self-climbing scaffolds. SKYDECK panelized slab formwork formed the typical 9,500 ft² (883 m²) slabs. The combination of ACS and SKYDECK facilitated the 3-day construction cycle.

Superintendent
“Preparation and delivery time of the forms were speedy, and the service that was provided by PERI has been excellent. Starting on the 9th floor we were on a 3-day cycle and have been ever since. That is excellent in our business. This will allow us to get the job done on time with minimal overtime, saving us a lot of construction costs in the long run.”
