Ideal Formwork Solution
TRIO and KG for Walls – SKYDECK for Slabs
The University of Wisconsin has worked with PERI Formwork Systems on a $72 million 62 bed hospital that will admit more than 2,700 patients each year.
The three 142 ft (43.30 m) cores of the structure were formed using TRIO, KGF 240 scaffold brackets and BR internal shaft platforms. The typical wall with cores advancing 3 to 4 levels ahead of the slabs, the KG climbing scaffold brackets were used for safe and efficient forming at heights. The fixed connection to the formwork allows efficient, one-piece transportation with the crane. The large 60 ft x 20 ft (18.30 m x 6.10 m) core was formed using TRIO wall panels and supported by 13 KG Units and 6 internal BR Platforms. Each of the X, Y and Z cores consisted of 7 floors and 2 basement levels. SKYDECK easily adapts to the 3.6º slanted ramp floors of the building. With no single part weighing more than 33 lbs (15 kg) shoring can be erected and stripped tirelessly. pour height is 16 ft (4.90 m) but has varied throughout the life of this 14 month project.
SKYDECK was used for all decks including the sloped parking level ramps. The floor height ranged from 11 ft (3.35 m) to 16 ft (4.90 m). All shoring heights were supported with the adjustable MULTIPROP.

“The SKYDECK was the ideal formwork solution for the decks on this project. It was easily adapted to handle the sloped ramp floors as well as typical slab standard floorplans.”
