Ramp and Slab Efficiently Shored
with PERI SKYDECK

To accomodate increasing visitors, the Washington National Cathedral has tasked the Facchina Construction Company with building a four level 75,000 ft² (6,968 m²) underground parking structure at a depth of 40 ft (12.20 m). All slabs were formed with SKYDECK including numerous 2.5 % - 5 % graded ramps.

The typical floor height is 8.5 ft (2.60 m) but shoring can sometimes be almost 16 ft - 18 ft (4.90 m - 5.50 m) in places.

Facchina used all their own SKYDECK material and regularly achieve high productivity levels. Over 13,000 ft² (1,208 m²) of SKYDECK was setup in just 3 days by a team of 12 workers.

“We have used SKYDECK extensively for years and have purchased most of the equipment we have on site. The early stripping feature of the system allows us to efficiently cycle our equipment.”
