PERI Delivers Sequenced Formwork
On the banks of the Mississippi river, Pinnacle Entertainment is constructing a massive $400 million resort in downtown St. Louis. The resort includes two hotels, a 75,000 ft² (6,968 m²) casino floor space, a 22,000 ft² (2,044 m²) conference center and numerous other amenities.
St. Louis native McCarthy Construction Co. is currently maintaining an aggressive construction schedule with both day and night crews working. All formwork solutions are provided by PERI.
SKYDECK, the modular and lightweight panel slab system is being successfully sequenced in these initial stages with the UZR Beam waler formwork. With over 160,000 ft² (14,864 m²) of shoring in the garage area alone and individual pour sizes ranging from 500 to 700 yd³ (382 to 535 m³), efficient prop spacings needed to be maintained.
With numerous teams of workers on site, the safety designed into all of PERI‘s systems is helping to ensure McCarthy‘s succeeds on this landmark project. The project began in September 2005 and is expected to open for business in mid 2007.

“The labor savings of the numerous PERI systems on site is allowing us to hold our tight construction schedule. PERI designs safety into all their formwork systems which is important for us on such a large project with many teams working closely together.”
